Morning,
Ok, I've just had the clutch and flywheels replaced on my 2011 plate freelander 2 and the garage have mentioned a small issue once done and taken for test drive.
I'm not mechanically proficient so please bear with me.
The garage believe the clutch pedal may be distorted as they tell me it's catching on a bolt, they don't think it is causing a major problem and believe it's been going on for a while prior.
£300 to replace the pedal and they're not 100% sure if this will cure it or it may be the entire pedal box that may need to be replaced instead which is a much bigger and of course more expensive job.
Driving away from the garage with it and the clutch pedal is not completely returning fully after changing gear, just have to lift it up with your toe.
They've not changed then slave cylinder BTW.
Before clutch change, no symptoms of this with the pedal.
Symptoms of clutch beforehand, stiff gearbox, then progressing to struggling to get out of 1st gear to change up, same from 2nd gear upto 3rd.
Any ideas please? Could this be the slave cylinder and not the pedal being distorted?
Thank you.

Hi, I’ve read your whole thread regarding your clutch issues on the other Land Rover forum site. I bought my wife a 2013 freelander 2 which has very similar clutch feeling and motion as yours seems too. I was just wondering if you ever got to the bottom of it? I’ve also read regarding the guy who ended up solving the issue with a new pedal assembly and have been looking at that myself as well as just buying a new return spring from eBay! Thanks. Daniel
