Hey all...

Landy isnt starting with a warm engine, but fires up fine when cold.

Starter motor turns over, glow plugs warm and the light goes out like normal.

I'm thinking a defective fuel shut off solenoid, sticking when the engine has been turned off..basically because I've had continuing issues with the solenoid sticking open and allowing the engine to keep running...

Would filling the fuel filter with redex then starting from cold have any effect on this? I've heard mention of doing this to flush crap from the fuel lines...

Had the RAC out to look at it the other night when I got stranded after locking up at work - he sprayed some quickstart into the air filter and away it went!

Seems the list of issues is never ending!

Not as yet...The issue only really arose on Friday night, although the current (britpart) solenoid is only about a year old.....Previously, I've been stalling the engine to stop it....

Millers fuel additive in the tank probably a better option than Redex,
Worth taking the solenoid out and looking down orifice for contaminants.
Give it a flush with hand priming pump lever , clean and refit
