200tdi defender engine over disco engine - i know you will shout at me for posting!

I know there is loads about this - ive read lots about this on here and yet doing a search all i get is stuff about defenders or just for disco 200tdi.

So, can someone point me in the direction for the thread which discusses why using a Defender engine is not as good as a Disco engine.

Mainly because i have just been offered a Defender 200tdi engine - and although i've been looking for a Disco one - the offer of a Defender one at the price i'm being offered it is far better than anything else i can get so I'd like to -re-read on what the main differences in installing a Defender one over a Disco one is!

disco engine produces slightly more power - there's loads around and is therefore cheaper. only disadvantage that I know of is the disco Turbo aint in the same place as a defender turbo, so the exhaust is a tad more complicated/expensive.

defender 200tdis are worth more as there more desirible for conversions to older 90/110 etc as there are less parts to modify to fit

if youve been offerd a defender motor cheap and shes a runner , buy it - slap it on ebay and make a profit from what Ive seen there like hot cakes .
