200tdi Alternator

Morning everyone, I'm pretty sure the alternator on my 200tdi is coming to the end of its life (charging light coming on intermittently and rev counter dropping back to 0) I've already rebuilt it once.
Question is does anyone know a straight forward swap for better charging as I do have extra lights and a winch.

its not THAT easy on the older motors

i have a 3.5 and im pretty sure they share the same alternator as the 200 or at least very similar, in that it was the lucas style rather than bosch style, and this is not well supported in the aftermarket

however, you can fit a later type 100amp or 150 etc without too much hassle, the main thing to remember is to upgrade your wiring to your battery so that the 150 amps doesnt melt your original cable

simple enough job, particularly on a 200
