Which of the above would you recommend?Thinking of an engine transplant into a 110csw1983,its got a gutless 3.3nissan turbo lump at the mo!It has no power and im thinking of changing it unless anyone has any bright ideas as to why the nissan engine is powerless!

am with yella on this, the turbo up and running properly? check hoses, also leaky injectors, filters both air and fuel....so on and so on. converting a rangie efi to a 4.0 toyota 6 cyl deisle as opposed to using a 200-300tdi but if the choice was out the 2 then i would go for 200tdi all day.

Cheers for that, have changed filters last week. What would so on and so on entail?I have noticed that the exhaust seems to have a small bore compared to my old 300tdi 90,could this constrict things?

Check the turbo pressure first, and after that go for the boost compensator on the injection pump.

Make sure the tubing from the manifold to the boost compensator isn't off or burst or blocked. It will be "gutless" unless the boost compensator gets full pressure as the turbo picks up.

If it otherwise running clean, chances are its a simple fix once you detect it.

if its the standard manifold and exhaust for the engine then it shouldnt make a difference, when using turbo's the bigger the bore the better, you checked fuel pressure???
