Obvious first place to start would be earth strap to battery, not sure where it goes to on a td5 though. It has to be something obvious like that to completely stop everything working!

Have checked the earthings seems ok and connected but still nothing
Any other earth points away from the GB

check with a multi meter , put one probe on the positive side of the battery, the other on the ecu mounting bolt, you should have 12+volts, if not re check earths

Follow the earth cable from the battery. On my old fender it's bolted to the chassis using one of the gearbox crossmember bolts and to the transfer box.

The only thing this can be is an earth issue.

One thing you could try in the mean time is get a length of battery cable link it to the negative terminal and touch it to a bare piece of chassis/gearbox see if you get power.

Also are you certain the battery aint fooked?

yup, just stick a jump lead from bat neg to engine block/chassis and see if everything works.
