Hello,
I have a Landrover TD5, when I bought it, in reverse used to make a griding noise. Read on the threads and decided to change everything,
1. Fly Wheel Valeo dual Mass,
2. Clutch Plate Brit Part
3. Pressure Plate Brit Part
4. Release Bearing Brit part
5. Spigot Bush Beamach.

after having insatalled all the above was fine upto when I took it for a long run,in reverse the noise has started again though very slightly on and off it make the grinding noise.
Could anyone help what could it be as I thought changing and putting all new parts would make the grinding go away.

2. Another issue I noticed during the long drive is when you free wheel to come to a stop ie release accelerator and clutch and let the vehicle roll to reduce the speed while in gear, theres some noise coming either from the diff or the shaft. its like a "wow" "wow" "wow" noise
Need help on that one too.

Thanks and regards
Welcome all your suggestions

Have you checked your wheel bearings, strip down, clean them to visually inspect rollers and races?

id check diff flanges for play and smooth rotation ,for noise on over run, is noise just when selecting reverse or all the time your reversing

@ james martin,
Noise comes when reversing though not ALL the time it does make noise during reversing on and off, funny thing is I did change the spigot bush as I mentioned above and the vehicle hasn't moved after I did put back the gearbox.
After I took it for a long run for the first time after fitting all the above I mentioned the noise came back when reversing.

Yes it is connected with using the clutch. When you depress the clutch noise is not there,as you release the clutch say half way the noise is there till you release the clutch completely.

if noise occurrs when your slipping the clutch ie not fully down its your spigot bush new ones often need reaming out a little so as not such a tight fit on gear box input shaft

Oh my gearbox down again :-(,do I lubricate the bush in anyway?
Also id like to find out since im a newbie to Landrovers, What do I look out for on TD5 that could trouble me.
The vehicle is being used as a game viewer in the bush.
thanks

Thanks for the information James.Shall update on progress and if I come across any other issues.
appreciate the help.
