The two horn buttons on the steering wheel of the Disco 2 can be particularly problematic as the plastic ages.
Replacement plastic buttons can be bought, although at about 30 quid they aren't cheap, but they're a whole lot less than a second hand button set and definitely less than a new set.
The buttons can be replaced using nothing more than a small flat bladed screwdriver as a lever and there's no need to start taking the steering wheel apart (with all the problems of airbags which that can entail). The only other things that are needed is a bit of patience and some care.
I have done the job on mine, after the horn started going off on its own or not stopping after I'd pressed a button. Once done, the buttons do feel a lot more positive.
Pull the fuse F16 (10 amp) in the engine compartment fuse board to stop the horn while you're doing the job, otherwise you'll start jumping every time the horn goes off when you least expect it.

push few times the buttons on the steering wheel cos they used to get stuck, if no joy remove relay R13(horns) and put R12(front fogs) instead for test to rule out a stuck relay...if still no joy we'll speak then
