2002 TD5 Transfer Box

I've been quoted Euros 2,098.80 for a new transfer box from LR garage in Limoges. Total bill incl. delivery, labour oil change & tax is Euros 3,228.07 (ouch!)

Can anyone advise if this price is par or very expensive?

Is the new box likely actually new or a recon box ?

Ashcroft aren't the cheapest either. It would almost be worth bringing your Land Rover over here for the job!

My 2002 110 is booked in with Ashcroft next Wednesday for a new gearbox, transfer box and to swap my overdrive across (I lost 5th gear and reverse on route to Peterborough!!) gonna be about £1800 all in including VAT
