Evening all.
Last night night I removed the standard rear safari door lock from my landie and fitted a central locking lock, actuator and pivot, I think from a 2012 landie. 10 minute job, even the hole for the pivot was there just had to make it square.
All works fine but the lock seems to have a 2 point action. First part latches and the lock can a be applied and you cannot enter.
BUT if you close lock with the door open it will rotate and almost double lock. Thinking there may be a change on a later striker as using the standard 1 still.
eBay only seems to sell 1 stricken, says fits all then read more. Only up to 2001.
Any ideas????
PS moving the striker makes no difference.
