2000 d2 TD5 centre high-mounted light

The "centre high-mounted stop lamp" as it is referred to in the rave has decided to pack up, the bulb has been checked and is fine, the side brake lights are also fine

anyone any advice on where to start?

You should have 12v on one of the wires and ground/earth on the other, both pick up their connections in the o/s tail light.

behind the light clusters for me is as follows
(vehicle is RHD)
LHS leading out of the frame is 2 wires, one going down out of sight, one going to a multiplug to the cluster.
RHS Multiplug attatched to frame, one cable loom going into the door (hinge side) and one to the light cluster

Ok.. off side, right hand side, drivers side, door hinge side tail-light unit connections.

The wires for the high-level stop lamp don't come from the O/S (RH) tail lamp.

The 'live' goes back to a distribution header (C0723) above the RH side headlining -

The earth goes back to an earth header (C0706) behind the RH lower trim -
