After doing some slight tweaks to my girl, i'm curious to see what sort of figures she's giving back from the ECU.

I've found some OBDII readers that can connect to your smartphone through bluetooth on ebay (eBay.ie: Bluetooth OBD2 Code Reader Scanner Can Bus OBD 2 TOOL (item 280423611624 end time 17-Nov-09 17:29:39 GMT)) and thought it would be great to have one plugged in all the time.

Would my freeby be OBD compliant though from 2000? I've heard landrover 'forgot' to add OBD compliancy by a few years and can only find definate answers for the TD4.

2000 1.8 - I would doubt it. My 2001 1.8 model had a recall to make it compliant - don't think they recalled the 2000 models as it wasn't required at that time.

If you can find someone with a code reader - give it a go, just in case!

don't know but someone on MG-Rover will.

Not 100% sure but it may not be compatible with some of the Rover setups either???

With a multimeter you can check all analogue inputs

Hmmm, i wonder what kind of reader would touch the freeby then.

Those bluetooth readers are quite cheap so may pick one up on ebay anyway. If it doesn't work i can always flog it to a mate.
