2000 1.8 freelander alarm/fob unit

as title says i would of thought that the alarm unit would be the same as other mg rovers but am struggling to find it in the car but came across this black box

is this the alarm unit and what the fobs are coded to or is there another box in the car some where ? any help would be great

As it says ABS on it I would assume that its for the anti locking brake system

Its not ABS.
The bottom sticker has the spec for the key fobs on it, so I would assume it was the receiver.

The ABS refers to the type of plastic its made from!

The is the CCU which on an early car (pre 2001MY) does the immobilisation and locking
