Anybody know if 20" steel wheels are available or obtainable to suit the bolt pattern of an early 110 Landy / Disco etc. Ideally something along the lines of steel modulars, I know it is possible to get Mach 5's etc custom made but was hoping to source a set without having to sell both Kidneys and work part time 'down the docks' ;)
I should imaging 8J would do the trick as tyres in mind are 12.00

Cheers Steve

Not that I know of

I'd say the only way you'd get some would be to fabricate some using an old truck hub or ask the company if they do custom orders

Why do you need 20 inch rims anyway ? would the ones you're after not fit onto 16x8's ?

Know its not quite in the same league but I've got 31 x 10.5's on 15x7's and they seem to have squeezed on alright

I could import tyres from the states that would fit on a 15 or 16 inch rim but the cost is eye watering, the ones I am looking at are far easier to obtain but give rise to the wheel issue.

Its not so much the weight of the vehicle its that the max plated weight of a 110 is far higher than a Rangey as Ive always understood, There are very few alloys you can legally use on a 110, Disco and Rangey Classic alloys legally cant as far as I am aware although I know plenty of people do.
Would be interested to know if an insurance payout has ever been voided or prosecution following a serious RTA has ever been made though due to 'unsuitable' wheels???

Well my 109/110 crossbred thing will be on Wolfrace Slotmags soon, the pickup itself only weighs in at 1.8 tonnes if memory serves me correctly so its not a problem of net weight

And I will never fill it to its maximum capacity so there shouldn't be an issue with it.

Defenders do run on Boost alloys though and they are also a disco alloy as my disco ES has the limited black version on it so certain ones must be able to take it

Cheers Doc,
Was trawling as you replied and yes Boost alloys are suitable but Disco 1 and Rangey aren't for a 110 Utility but seem okay for a CSW. have posted elsewhere asking if anyone has the load rating for the 20" alloys but will leave this thread on as Im still interested in steels if possible as all the 20" allys Ive seen look a little 'Bling' LOL

Steve, I cant remember what size the old pred alloys came in but they would be suitable and I think they came in 16's and 18's

Not quite 20 but could be close enough to work if they made the 18's (might have been a different make that looked the same though)

Damn work connection wont open in edit mode to add to the above post ???

However as I said its not a matter of what it weighs or will actually carry but what it is plated at..

ie if I drove a 110 Utility even on my ownand promised never to carry as much as a pint of milk its still illegal to use wheels rated at less than the maximum you could theoretically carry and may invalidate insurance.
