Far away from you!!
as per title, i am about to do this and have everything buttoned up apart from the exhaust as i am confused.

- the standard 200tdi exhaust is a different layout to the NA exhaust
- the TD seems the same but is a small bore than the 200tdi
- the 300tdi exhaust follows the same route but is a bigger bore than the 200tdi

so what do i do, fit the 200tdi exhaust - what hangers will i need?
fit the 300tdi by cutting the brackets off the downpipe end and clamping them together?

what have others done that have done this, i know there are a few of you!

thanks

Ed

Hi Terry,
Thanks for the enquiry.
For a 200tdi 90 (front to back) you will require the below;
YRM product ref 016D (exhaust hanger on the gearbox) see image 200tdi (1)
YRM product ref 016 (exhaust hanger off the mid chassis cross member the A Frame bolts t) see image 200tdi (2)
YRM product ref 016A (exhasut hanger on the RHS chassis rail) see image 200tdi (3)
YRM product ref 016 (exhaust hanger on the rear cross member) see image 200tdi (4)

That was from YRM direct regards me fitting a 200 tdi defender engine into a 2.5TD chassis. Worked perfectly.

Drop me an email if you want the images he refers too. I might have a spare of a hanger or 2..... will look tonight.

Take it you have seen this

Thanks chaps that well helpful

I had seen that thread but still wasn't quite clear.

I will order all the bits from YRM then anything I don't need I can shift on.

Photos of the hangers etc on the vehicle would be good please to compare what I do and don't already have.

Being a military Landy, H plate I have found that some parts I thought I needed to get to fit the tdi I didn't need, such as radiator mounts etc

the 200 uses double donut style so everything you have there is wrong. I farted about looking at making it fit together and decided it wasnt worth my time for about 25 quids worth of brackets.

i will take photos tonight of mine for you.

Okay quick scout about on Microcat tells me i need the following parts

- 4 x ntc5582 exhaust rubbers
- 1 x esr2421 bracket
- 1 esr95 bracket
- 1 x esr 414 bracket (obsolete)
- 1 x esr360 bracket

-1 x esr358 intermediate exhaust
- 1 x esr254 rear exhaust

i can get all of that from LRdirect and the 414 thats obsolete from YRM

If someone can confirm i will order

Ed

Excellent, they look exactly like the parts I found in microcst - will order - interestingly I have that rear x-member bracket mount on the drivers side - wasn't sure what it was for. That's superb handy cheers dude.

Just need to rebuild the head after pressure testing then I can hung the whole lot in
