2.5na to defender spec 200tdi exhaust query....

would someone with a 200tdi be able to measure the rear drivers side part of the chassis that the rear exhaust hanger bolts to? I am going to have to make and weld one on lol
 
What route are you going down? Mine is a military 110 and when I did the 200 TDI conversion, I fitted the 2.5 turbo exhaust system. No different hangers etc were needed compared to the N/A exhaust but you do need a special down pipe for the front end, I got mine from ebay.
 
Yeah I didn't want to have a bunch of different bits. Basically I have all the bits to change my na into defender spec with a proper defender spec engine. Lots of thought re: exhaust and decided to go 200tdi - I will just weld the bracket for the rear hanger on, that's about the only thing that isnt a straight swap.

Head is currently off being skimmed and pressure tested. When it comes back will rebuild it with new oil seals, lap the valves etc.

Going to drop the sump and inspect the big ends but hopefully ain't gonna have to do anything with that. Everything that's 'wearable' is, or has been changed.

Hopefully drop it in in the next month or 2

Just to update this thread in case others need to know.

All exhaust mounts unbolt and swap to the tdi items mentioned above apart from the rear drivers side which is missing so all you need to do is weld a rectangular bracket on like I have in the photo
