Series 3 2.25 manifold/exhaust union Q.

Hi Chaps,
Quick one - does the union between the cast iron exhaust manifold and the steel exhaust pipe have a compressible sealing ring or is it the shove a cone into another cone type?
It's blowing and I need to sort it.

And what odds will you give me on the nuts/studs surviving the experience? Looks pretty rusty from above....

I'll be breaking studs in the morning.

Its a good idea to soak the studs in diesel or penetrating oil for a couple of days before attempting to undo them, sometimes it helps and sometimes it don't but it's always worth a go.

Should be brass nuts so theoretically they should come apart ok
