Hey,
New here so thanks for having me.
I'll try keep the story short. 1999 Disco TD5, flat battery after not driving it for a few weeks, started up fine after a charge but the water in fuel light came on (new). Drove it to the mechanics for a completely different reason.
Once there and in the shop it now no longer starts up. Pump at the back whines for a good few minutes and sounds diesel sounds intermittent. Flows for a few seconds stops briefly then flows kinda thing.
The mechanics aren't landy specialists and nor am I unfortunately so before they start trying everything and it costs a fortune are there any suggestions on what it may be? Pump gone, something to do with the filter etc? It's not leaking diesel at all.
Any help would be amazing before it gets towed onto a specialist...
