hi
my central locking buttons on my key are broken and every time i open the car the alarm sounds
is there any way of turning the alarm/siren off until i get key repaired

thank you

stuart

only with nanocom/hawkeye(or other dedicated tester)... to set the alarm mode in BCU on "Always" ...which means "always disarm with key"(too)

I thought that if you lock the car with the key in the lock, manually, then that doesn't set the alarm. Maybe I'm wrong though....

....it does set the perimetric alarm, but not the interior space protection. So you can leave a dog in or whatever.

Hi Stuart,

I have same problem with a 1999 TD5 diagnosed as a faulty BCU but mine got very damp in wet getting in car, trying to get replacement from breakers or repair possible.... found a place online that you can send your BCU to and they will repair or recode another to replace with your remote codes. Search Turner Diagnostics St. Albans, I'm in Bristol but nothing closer. Mine began with intermittent fault remote not working, replaced remote batteries was ok for a while but then stopped responding. Hope this is helpful, and hope your problem is not as drawn out as mine!! :)

Oh I forgot you can over ride the immobiliser and alarm using the WPA code check your service manual should be in front, using your key in door lock......details are in your manual. Cheers:)
