Hi.. my 'range' has a after market stereo..(only had it for two weeks) ..but i want the proper one .. my problem is I don't know which one is the correct for that year.. ive been on 'the bay' but there are three different types ?? any help you can give would be great...by the by this is my first question and i love this forum.. its great...

A 1998 will be the Clarion type PRC7816 or PRC 7818 with the CD changer control and separate door-mounted amplifiers.
Odds on yours should take the basic PRC7816, and this should have two ISO connectors on the back, one for power which has 4 leads connected, and one for speakers which should have 8 cables connected. This system is, in all fairness to it, crap.
But if you get the Diverstiry model you'll have to get the amps for each door and add lots of new wiring, though it's not that difficult a job.
