Hi all, I am John this is my first time on here. Is any one able to tell me if the boot floor pan on a r/r covered in the MOT? mine has a big hole the size of a tea plate over the filler pipe to the tank.

I have looked for new floor pan but I keep getting up a pan for a disco! is that the same as the r/r pan?

as long as the hole isn't near a structural mounting point to the chassis you should be OK.

I could be wrong but I think the floors are different.

Like Saint said, if the hole is near a structural part then fail. Disco floor panel is shorter than a Range Rover but depending on where the rust is, a Disco panel can be used to make a patch panel.

If I understand what you are saying it suggests the hole is in the flat side panel by the fuel filler neck?? If that is correct then it can be repaired with sheet steel or you might want to try looking at YRM repair panels, they supply the side panels and side rails so worth a look.

think its got to be 12"away from any structure/brakes/steering/suspension components.
ps your lucky I could put my head through the boot floor of the last soft dash I had years ago
