1992 200tdi defender 90

Up for sale is my 1992 j reg defender 200tdi. I have owned it for around 6 months and has been good fine but the time has come for me to get something more sensible.

All the usual things that need replacing have been done including:
all wheel bearings
starter motor
alternator
clutch master and slave
lift pump
had a full service including all oils and fluids
brake pads all round
other bushes and things I have forgot!
I have receipts from previous owner for things like new rear subframe, cambelt and head gasket.

The few mods that have been done are:
rocksliders
diff guards
300tdi rear axel with disc breaks
steering guard
snorkel
side exit exhaust through body
285/75/16 Insa turbo special tracks with 10" modulars (low offset so no need for spacers)
wide arch kit
2" lift, springs and shocks
few polly bushes hear and there
front A bar with two 8" 100w spots
light bar with four square 55w spots
original fan removed and electric one fitted, runs off manual switch

It has around 109000 on the clock with history and old m.o.ts to prove this. Body work is in good nick, not perfect but no old battered off roader! Will also come with private plate HIL 77** valued at over £500. It has tax untill the end of july and M.O.T is around the same but I will add 12 months for the right price.

THe obvious question, after so much effort and expense over your six month's ownership, what is wrong with it that is driving you to go "sensible"?

I have a 40 mile round trip for work and a defender just isn't suitable. I usually work 6 days a week so when I have used it off road I like to clean and grease things properly and I just don't have the time to do it!

Trust me I really don't want to sell it but a defender just isn't practicle for me at the moment.

As it stands at the moment I can honestly say there is nothing wrong with it. I don't go off road anymore as I'm worried I will break something then I wont have transport to get to work.

I think i know that 90...its a nice one..good luck.

Thanks for that. Looking at my advert it really dont do it any justice. It is tighter to drive then my mates td5.

Im not in a massive rush to sell it but it will be going on ebay soon. I would much rather somebody buy it who knows what they are looking at then somebody turning up from eBay expecting a rangerover!

Few more things I forgot to mention:

has a decent cb fitted and working
all electrics work as they should, even the heated rear screen
300tdi dash with speakers built in for cd player
original seats, hardly any wear but the stitching has come away on the drivers seat

Few more pics would be good, 'specially chassis etc .. including any 'dodgy' areas, if it has any!

I have had a look an it seems solid, although it has had a couple of patches. What im going to do is do a proper advert for it the weekend. I will get it on a ramp on Saturday and get lots of detailed pics so you know what you are looking at.
