Could I ask an opion on rebuilding my front swivels/stub axles/brakes please. Cleaned up stub axle - removed worn out bearing that was wedged on the stub axle......assume this was part of the bearing that should have been inside the hub assembly......looking through the manual & it mentions a spacer 599698 - it wasn't there when I took everything apart so has it just been missed off by accident - I'll order up a couple - also there is no oil seal at the back of the stub axle but I understand some people prefer to leave these out as it helps with the oil flow - do I have this correct ...or are spacers missed out as well sometimes.
Thanks very much

spacer is seal track its pressed on tight upto flange ,later stub axles have this piece as part of stub, there isnt a seal fitted till 1980 models

Thanks very much for the help. I thought for a minute that the spacer was missing - so if I have this correct just install new bearings & seal on the hub assembley and slide it on the stub axle ........hopefully the new bearings will slide on easier than the old one to get off ...
