18 to 16 alloys

just wondering if its a straight swap to put 16 inch alloys on my disco from the 18s i hav on. finding it hard and expensive to get 18inch off road tyres. was looking at the stud pattern on a friends defender with 16inch alloys on and stud pattern looked different could anyone help thanks

Yes it is a straight swap 18 to 16inch... but not between LR models as you can see stud patterns are different.

You got a TD5?? The wheels are the same as a P38 RR, I believe, but wheels from earlier Disco1s will not fit. Check on that, but I`m fairly sure that`s correct.
(L322 wheels will need spigots and nuts to suit, but you ain`t about to find them in 16" I`d guess).
P38 wheels 16" readily available from pimpmobiles riding on 22" alloys worth more than their car!

thanks for replys i thought the studs looked different when i looked at friends defender with disco alloys. so if i am looking for a set of 16s wot would i b looking for any off a disco 2 or rr p38 then

They will both fit.

I had set of 5 P38 16 alloys, advertised `em here and ebay, no real interest, so sold for scrap. You should get `em easily enough.

hi have got 4 16" boost alloys of a disco 2 2001 the tyres are not much cop they might be what you are looking for im in the staffordshire area .arv

hi thanks for the tyre offer mate got your number on pm. but am going to sell or px my d2 as i really want a defender again. these newer ones ar to expensive for parts does anyone know any good px place for a defender or know wot i could advertise a 2001 td5 with 114,000 on clock good condition for or does anyone on here want to swap i hav money to px with car
