well finally got round installing an outside charging point

so now i can just plug the landy in for charging , made up a 4m 12s lead and covered it with flexible conduit

CTEK charger is in the hall so easier to monitor

now got to think of ways to prevent my 12s lead from getting nicked whilst on my drive, thinking about drilling a small hole through the plastic connector side lug and using a padlock or maybe a small chain and padlock

know they can easily cut the wire , never had problems before but there always the first time someone may be walking past and nick the lead just for the sake of it

A low voltage lead like that is probably the safest way to go, Gary and probably the easiest too. No need to get involved with Part P for electrical installations in hazardous locations.

many thks and that’s what i also thought , the lead from the charger just goes through the wall, into the box outside , the CTEK came with a short lead u normally put into the battery , cut the spade connectors off and plugged that into the charger lead that comes through the wall, then 2 x wires go into the back of the 12s socket

all sleeved through the wall, just thought then it saved me messing around with 240 v extension leads or through the letterbox so can at least when parked on the drive simply plug it in
