Hello
I've just sold my Y reg TD5 110 for a 2014 2.2 110.
I have a tow bar fitted bike carrier which won't fit the new car because the tow bar is flush to the back of the car, and the spare wheel sticks out a long way.
I'm looking at fitting a "LAND ROVER DEFENDER HI-CAP EXTENSION TOW BAR - NRC7758" which I found on eBay which looks like it would solve the problem.
Are there any other solutions that anybody would recommend?
Has anybody fitted an NRC7758 and is it easy to do?
Thanks for all and any advice,
Ben

Thanks for the advice. I'm a bit inexperienced at all this - it just looks like you unbolt the towbar, bolt the NRC7758 to the car, then bolt the towbar to the NRC7758. What are the arms for?

Arms go back to the chassis.
These stand away from the chassis & you may smack your legs on it more.
Have you looked at a Thule rack?these clamp to the tow ball. Pop to Halfords & have a look.

Yes, that's the one I was looking at. I've since found an adapter for my bike carrier that will take it around the spare wheel, without having to mod the tow bar. I lose one bike space so have 3 rather than 4, but it's a lot cheaper and easier. Thanks for all the responses.
