110 TDCi Power Upgrade

I'm considering beefing my 110 Puma engineed Defender with a stage 1 power upgrade from JE Engineering:

Diesel Engines | Defender

This is basically an engine ECU re-map plus re-setting the speed limiter to 91mph from 82mph. Increases BHP to 165 and torque to 443Nm.

Feedback from anyone who has used JE or had a similar upgrade would be welcome.

there's no real issue with tuning the engine BUT......just remember that the gearbox struggles with the power as it is. A tuned engine coupled to rough gear changes could cause even more premature failure than already happens.

Good point, I guess extra power badly used stresses the whole of the transmission components............might be worth it for the fun though!!!!!
