110 TD5 chassis

hi all I’m new to this site & need some advice, myself & my son are restoring a 110 td5 but we are really struggling to find a chassis at a reasonable price as the current one has more holes in it than Swiss cheese! Also will a tdi chassis fit the td5 shell as an alternative? TIA

If you can't afford a galvanised new one yourself, keep an eye out for someone who is doing a galvy-replacement. Their outgoing chassis might be in better nick than yours....or may be repairable whilst off the body.

Anything can be made to fit....but.....

If you can get a tdi chassis in good nick then hold onto it for swapping/dealing later - they are in demand.

Dont buy anything without getting the defender (tratter) forum to confirm its ok. As above some suppliers are betterer than others.
