Have tried to find a previous thread but no luck.

I'm pondering with the notion of converting my 110 rear drum brakes to disc. Has anyone done this conversion?

James ive got a sailsbury axle ive just take of a 1984 v8 fender, its got drums on it, now ive stripped it and going to paint it, could i use all the bits of my td5 sailsbury axle to convert it . what i am doing is im going to put a galvo chassis in my td5 and strip everything and rebuild but having this v8 axle saves time if i can use it, if all that makes sence !!

all salisbury rear axle tubes can be either drum or disc ,the only difference is that disc axle has a hole on shocker mount for back plate but i wouldnt fit back plate anyhow so yes
