Have a '97 R plate 110CSW 300tdi. Ran out of fuel at weekend (possibly), turned off ignition as soon as I realised this, refilled, started A OK. Unable to start today (no cranking, all normal lights on etc.) Left for a mo, started perfectly normally! Then cut out slowing down at junction where I live, loss of all power, cruised into parking space neatly....Pulled up, went inside to get a brew, starts perfectly normally again??!!

Fitted EGR kit last weekend, have left what I think is the vacuum pump for it still in position and plugged in but hose to EGR removed. Checked connections I could think of, also have a new oil leak that looks like it's coming from the rocker cover. I expect that this is just co-incidence being a Landy :)

Any tips from yourselves would be fab! Many thanks in advance.

sounds like you mite have sucked some ****e in from bottom of tank mite be worth changing the fuel filter someone will be along soon with more ideas ;)

Yup, running the tank dry will have sucked some ****e into the lines, could be blocking it anywhere. Fuel filter is worth trying first of all, then try the sedimenter.
