Just bought these alloys today and have been assured they will fit my 110 with no need for spacers. My Landy is a 1988 with drums at the rear.

I have read the other wheel related threads but can find no ref to these particular wheels. They are off a 1996 Disco.

Thanks for any advice you can give me and no I havent paid or collected them yet.

Thanks

You will need to check the load rateing on them as well since the 110 fully loaded is ****ing heavy :D

So spacers on front would help with poor turning circle?

Was really after a set of freestyles but think I have fallen into the trap of compromising because they were local.

mate don't do it!!! The previous owner put disco wheels on mine first thing to get rid of. Look at the offset on mine in the photo its crap. Also without spacers you have to have the steering stoppers wound right out to stop rubbing on the arches. It'll do your head in having to do a hunt to get in a parking space. If you really want them then get wheel spacers.

Hi

They will fit but you will need to space them out at both the front and the rear because on the rear they are to close to the chassis (tyre depending) and at the front they wont fit on over the hub and pull all the way up on the studs.

I have put those very same wheels onto my defender 110, this week i machined up some 8 mm spacers for the front and 100 mm for the rear, works a treat.

Re-sprayed them in RAL-9001 same as vehicle and they don't look to bad at all.

With the offset of the wheels and the spacers the wheels are the same outer width as the vehicle.

I have fitted MT KL71's (265 75 16)

Sounds like I might be doing it for the wrong reasons, was going for the looks rather than the practicality. Trying to convince the missus it is not just for offraoding but also a nice family truck for taking shopping, even bought a dog to convince her we need to keep it!!!
I like my wife, but I love my Landy, so if I have to make a choice......

Regarding the loading, I don't carry much weight in the back but do tow a trailier with cars on it from time to time. I assume the weight of the trailer is not all on the wheels as it is on the trailer wheels and tow ball?
I will look up the ratings but just interested on anyones thoughts on this. But I'd suggest you will all see these alloys on Ebay very shortly.

Thanks R-arrand look forward to seeing them. Its all confusing with the net telling me conflicting responses to my questions. So it's goods to hear from somebody else who has doen exactly the same.

BTW the responses in this Forum are far more useful than any other ones I have looked at.

Cheers
