Would a rocker gasket and sump gasket from a 10j fit into a 12j motor, also how similar are these models.

yes they would ,10 is a 2.25 so crank stroke is different,and use different injection pumps

Ok thanks. Are you aware of reliability for the 10. I heard its a bit weedy and doesn't like idling for long periods, but I know little about it.

no engine likes idling for long ,it wears bores and over heats oil, its a good engine its just a slightly improved 2.25 series 3 engine,but then the 2.5 isnt a lot better ,though will run forever
