Hi all,

My freelander has this problem that when its cold it ticks over fine, revs raised as should be for cold start.. When i try to press the pedal to pull away the revs drop right off, can even stall sometimes.

If i get the revs above 2000 its then ok to drive.... this problem only lasts for about 5 mins until it has been running.

When its warm and i start up its fine no problems idles fine...

Any ideas.......PLEASE..

Sorry td5driver,

I should have said its a 1999 with distributor cap.

Its had new plugs, leads, cap and arm.

Mine has a similar problem that has gradually got worse, it turns out I have low compression on #4 cylinder, I would advise having some diagnostics run including a compression test

Mine has exactly the same problem and only as cold - a 1999 petrol Freelander, yes a K engine, would appreciate valid suggestions, thanks.
