It's not a fail, it's that I'm really trying to get hold of a 1.211

Otherwise it's a 1.222 which are plentiful, but I've got over a grand to save up for the rear diff before I even need a transfer case so I have time to stick around for one

Was really hoping docs was gonna be 1.211

I think very late 300s had them but it seems really hit and miss :(

If I want yours doc it's cool I'll just run up the motorway one evening and have a look at your build whilst there so it'll be a double win.

Thanks for taking the time to look for it etc :)

That reminds me I need to check my rear diff, it may have an LSD built into it already if I'm lucky :p

Yeah no worries, if you don't want it I'll just put it up on here

Not much going on build wise atm, its been stripped of its 35" tyres too so it looks a little weedy :( waiting for the 49's to make their way across from Florida

believe your new axle does

nope :) military surplus, buy them with rims and 85% or more tread

The ones I have my eye on are $100 each on a rim, or I may plump up and go for the $500 brand new ones but I prefers to buy 10 rims with 85% tyres as thats far cheaper in the long run plus you get one free :D

Ok you had me scared then, 44" boggers are like 700 quid each I think

Yeah it'll be like a military truck but without the weight to go with it, the unsprung will be so monstrous it'll drive a bit funny I think, BUT only time will tell

Gonna be one hella brute, think the baby land rover will be a bit small when it's all said and done?

Nah but these are still Michelin XLZ's :D

I reckon it'll be a bit on the awkward side to drive with all the torque but the idea is to just leave it in crawl gear and let it idle up stuff given that my transfer box is a Dana 300 with a 2.62 low ratio

Gives me a first gear low of 87.49:1 on those tyres

Yeah definitely, got someone coming over later to give me quotes on the remaining steel I need and the guy with the tyres should be getting back to me today, just need to check that the Rockwell PCD is the same as the Dana 80

btw rockwell axles are awesome!
