Hi
My 04 td4 recently suffered from loss of power at above 70 and the eml would come on, I took it to a local tuning specialist who hooked it up to his machine and came back with a file full of graphs and claimed the turbo was shot at and was only boosting at a third of normal pressure. So since then I have had a new turbo fitted, maf sensor ,egr valve, crank case breather filter and a battery? However I feel it's still sluggish in low gear especially when you need power eg pulling into traffic on a roundabout and has started cutting out when first started.
Can anyone give any pointers as to the next thing to try could it be the boost solenoid ?
Cheers.

Would have been better spending your money on a diagnostic session, which may have pointed you in the direction of any faults rather than changing things in the hope it sorts things.

£250 for the diagnostic session, his directions doesn't seem to have solved the problem however the eml doesn't come on at over 70 anymore!

I don't know.
But the report said to
De-Coke the system
Replace inlet pipes
Faulty maf sensor
Turbo boosting -30% needs replacing
Total cost £2800 approx, for the first 3 items It would have been £850 +vat, needless to say I did this for a fraction of the price and got some on with a ramp to help with the turbo. I think the guy with the diagnostic was more interested in the R8 and the GT3 that had come in that day.
