02 D2 gearbox t/c

hi peoples just a brain pick ...i have a 02 D2 due to loss of all its gears and dumping its atf.. After taking out the gear box and sending it away and being told its £900 all in to do the t/c and over haul the box ..then to be told today o its another £300 because my t/c is not repairable is this right ? or can just buy a t/c ? & whats the likly hood of the gbox not being mullard and just being the t/c .......at the moement im at the mercy of the garages help

what was wrong with it oil cooler pipe split ?give the automatic gear box co a ring 01283521414

My understanding is th t\c has cracked up which u can see and thrown its oil .

so box would probably only need pump looking at if oil was clean

Does the t/c share the oil with the gearbox ?

yes oil from box is pumped round t/c to give drive ,
