Theft attempt in norfolk

tryed to steal one of my series, they started it up. need i say more,
its running str8 off the manifold, missing a lay shaft this is the second attempt. on that same vehicle, why dont they go for the one with a missing axle then i could at least laugh. not get angry.

Where abouts in Norfolk are you based?

I'd do a Tony Martin on them to be honest, if they try it again, and blast a hole in them.

..insensitive as I may sound I have no time for people who try to steal my possessions..especially Land Rovers.

I think I still have a trebuchet that I made in Design Technology classes many years a go.

Don't think it would be much cop though.

But yes, if you can't defend your own property in a substantive way, we all may as well put huge signs up saying "Oi, you - yes, you - take what ever you want! P.S The 200tdi Landy will give you the best profit."

if your anywhere near yarmouth this time of year i would say its either pikeys(not redhand) or soem of the thousands or illegal immigrants that fill the town, either way you'll not track themdown and the police will not be interested, a couple of polaks tried to mug my cousin in yarmouth they didn't count on him turning round and putting them on there arse.....

ay thats the problem with yarmouth, ignoring all the yarmouth girl jokes. so many chavs and immegrants, and drugs,,, im not from that way but sail up there, sometimes. in norwich city center recently and watched some chavs jump this guy, about 4 was about 2 step in with agrics i had spent the day working with. when 2 fell on the floor the other 2 ran off the guy jus punched one of them and pushed the other over. back to me, there all looking for cheap and easy money from turning around and scrapping vehicles, a landy looks easy picking, the one they tried 2 nick wont be going anywere now, il take a pic of my new security feauture, no front axle, as i needed the diff so took the lot off

Reality check... it is illegal to protect your own property if by doing so you run the risk of causing injury or damage whether or not it is the perpetrator that is getting damaged!

That's official... I am not allowed to rig my disco to turn off the ignition... (one of the functions of the tracking system), in case the bloke driving it away crashes in surprise.

You can imagine what the reaction was when I mentioned the second switch that would activate the 9 inch iron spike hidden below the driver's seat!

I'm told thatthey are also targetting defenders and such for the easy access to the catalytic converter on the petrol models

I try to comfort myself in the niave belief that my 1960 Series 2 is so ratty and beaten up that no one would ever want to steal him.

If they did, they'd soon try to return him due to his hideous temprament and dislike of 3rd and 4th gear.

I'd hear anyone trying to steal him a mile off by just keeping an ear out for the crunching of 3rd and 4th and the sound of people swearing at him.

yer the US is a really crime free zone

get yerself a big stick to protect yerself - fine, but when the local tealeaf wants to steal from you he just gets a bigger stick
