We have the same make of porch awning, had one for six years, used about 20+ times per year when we were racing and Trialling, and never had a problem with it.

If the free-standing one is of similar quality then I'd not hesitate to recommend it .. ;)

Got one of those anaw;)

Good bit of kit;):D

That looks good and a fair bit cheaper than the one i was looking at. Has it got an inner tent? can't really tell from the pics. Getting lots of ideas 'bout using the disco as a camper now:D.

cheers for the replies guys:)
If ye buy it new then it comes with the two man inner tent. We haven't used ours as we tend to sleep in the back of the bus and get out into the tent for changin', living or whatever;):D

this looks good... them that have them do you sleep in the car and use the tent for living? how much space have you got when you open the door etc?
Ye've got a reasonable amount of space, especially if ye don't use the inner tent. If ye look at me picture and look at the link fur thum ye might get an idea;)

I guess it aint that warm either with the draft coming under your car..
Can't remember off the top of me head... but ah 'think' there might a ground sheet, if not then use a tarp tae block the hole under the motor;):D

i'm crap at seeing how much space there is from piccies.. and it looks to me from yours that I would have to have the whole tent empty so i could open me door... but thought that would be a bit cack which is why I asked..

That's kinda the idea I was havin'. Took the back seats out of the discco ages ago to move some stuff around and realised it was big enough to sleep in. Just gotta make some flat cubby boxes to go across the floor for storage and stick a matress on top now.:D

How long does it take to pitch your tent Buster? I have a missus who goes from nought to ****y in less than 6 seconds. I currently have a pop up tent cos it doesn't matter what the weather is like it takes only seconds to pitch. I looked at getting a tent like yours but I thought that she woulda spat the dummy out long before getting it pitched.

If ye look at the link again.. there's a 360 shot of the tent with a disco attached. Ah reckon it would probably be pointless advertisin' it if it didn't work. Even with my door open it doesn't go half way along the side;):D

Took a wee while to start with ratty, but soon got the hang of it on our hol's;) It's ideal if ye're stoppin' somewhere's for a day or two or longer, but if it's just an over nighter then we just sleep in the back of the bus;):D

cheers Buster.:)

I don't have the length to sleep in mine due to a wooden bulkhead behind the second row seats. If I use the second row seating area for my luggage I can have a seating area with table in the rear of mine though. Might be worthwhile me getting one in the future and seeing how it goes.
