Help I have haunted wipers!

I set out in my 200tdi Disco this morning, and after about 10 mins my intermittent wipers began to operate, even though it was a dry day and I had not touched them. I tried playing with the stalk and the twist switch which operated correctly, but still didnt solve the problem. I got to my destination and parked up, and when I came to come home again they were back to normal, until about 30 mins into my journey when they started up again.

Can anyone help me out?

Sounds like park switch on the wiper motor is fecked or the stalk is shorting out. My money is on the park switch.

If it looks like the one in this piccy you can just change the switch.
