The atrophy in my legs is a little worrying though, any suggestions on exercises I can do without putting weight on them?

I have given that some thought. I expect these days they can accommodate wheelchair users. I cannot walk so I would need to get as close as possible and maybe a hoist to aid getting in and out?

I think most pools have to accommodate wheelchair users now, except some battery powered because of the water risk. Might be worth exploring.
No easy solution though, stick with it.

Walking to the fridge for a beer. Still puts weight on the legs but it is only short term.

Put the first coat of black on me cross member. Smooth hammerite, brushed on. Dragged a bit on the primer, not too pleased with the result yet. Hoping a second coat will improve it.
