'Lo all.
One of Wifey's Pluriel's reas windows has needed mending for a long time now. Is sitting on wedges.
Parked up outside a neighbour's palce this p.m. Heard a sound like a stone hitting the car or summat. Twas in fact summat giving way on the mechanism for tother rear window.:mad::mad:
And this fecker is now stuck halfway up.
This'll be the second time of mending both rear windows mechanisms.:(:(:(
Anyway had a good natter with three couples of friends and neighbours, today. Distributed veg and eggs after doing the weekly shop.
Two of them told us a few different war stories. Involving themselves as kids, or their parents.
One lived on a "metairie" with her family. (A smallholding where the peeps living there do so under a sharecropping agreement, so basically dirt poor farmers). The resistance/maquis was rife around here and she remembers the day the Germans came to the farm someone else having dobbed them in as being part of the maquis. Her mother quickly hid incriminating papers by sliding them under the tablecloth of the dining/kitchen table.
The Germans took the whole family and two farm workers outside and lined them up against a wall, the adults with their arms outstretched to their sides while she and her brother had to kneel in front of their parents. Germans trained weapons on them while others ripped the house apart looking for evidence.
This took quite a while.
Eventually they came out having found nothing and let them go. The mother couldn't speak for a year afterwards. The thought of seeing her children shot in front of her.
Talk about hiding something in plain sight!

The other story was so interesting I am going to do some research on it.
Still pretty hot here.
Sleep tite folks!!
:):):)

Well up and nearly finished brekfuss.
Going to have to make a start soon on gutting the back of the Pluriel to fix the windys.
Think I'll photograph it all and put it up on the Citroen Pluriel website.
Just wondering if I'll have two original bits of sh!t plastic so I could mend one then work out how to make summat else to fix the other.
That is, of course, if it is the bits of plastic that have gone and not summat else.
Gonna be about 32 degs today.
Have a nice one peeps.
