Yeah cheers Sean. I have paid for them, I just have to arrange to get them. The guy said he'd hold em for me for as long as I want. Craddocks are rip off merchants on a lot of their secondhand parts. They do have a lower dash going cheap at the moment so I am keeping an eye on it.

let me know if you want it picking up from craddocks if you do buy it i'm not too far from them and am probably there at least twice a week

Sean. Have you had any dealings with the heavy duty drive flanges? I was adjusting my rear wheel bearing today and checking how bad the sliding joint is getting on my rear prop and noticed that I have a bit of play in my rear flanges. I am thinking about upgrading them but don't know of anybody that has ever bought them so don't know if they are worth it. I am looking at fitting a detroit diff locker in my rear axle in the not too distant future and figure it may kill them quicker.

is this what your calling a drive flange ?

Yep. These are what I am thinking of fitting as replacements but like I say I don't know of anyone thats fitted any.

they look very simillar to the ashcroft ones which are excellent, as they should be for £80 ish a pair

i've got about 40 orginal LR flanges here which are built like brick poo houses if you need a couple

That would be great if you don't mind. I do a lot of heavy duty snatching pulling vehicles from car size up to 10 ton trucks out of stupid places so mine take a battering and are starting to show wear. To be honest I am surprised I have never snapped a half shaft. (hence thinking about uprating the flanges and when I do sheer a half shaft uprating them too).

I might just have to do that. In the event of a halfshaft break I do have a heavy duty snap-on extending magnet but it is still a bit flexible. I have also pondered over the idea of using a speaker magnet on the end of the broken shaft and using the outer broken piece to magnatise the inner broken piece to retrieve it. I haven't snapped one yet so don't know if it'll work on a half shaft. It may lose too much power.

We're not sure when it happened or if it happened all at once. As he had difflocks fitted the car continued to drive without the half shaft been in. 1st he knew was when he spotted it in his mirror. But he had been bumper deep in a peat bog about half an hour earlier, and spinning the fooker out of it.

Parts I needed:
Any dash board parts/panels ( I literally need all of it)
Any switches/stalks. (lights, indicators, wipers, hazards, rear screen demister, fog light)
Drivers door card
door card clips
Both front seats
Wiper motor
Heater motor
Drivers side A pillar trim.
Internal fuse box
Drivers door seal
Door trim clips
Window winder handle+bezel
Back door handle

The list of parts I now have or have been offered:
upper ignition cowling
lower ignition cowling
Instrument surround
window winder and bezel

Craddocks have a lower dash on fleabay at the moment so I am watching that.
Yella may have the switches to the right of the steering wheel for the hazards etc.
