Air suspension

Hi,
I have a 2003 td5 auto
Thought I would covert my car back to air, easy I thought. well you as you know nothing is.

I have put new air bags on new sensors and rebuilt the compressor.

when I start the car up the pump doesn’t come on, although if I go into nanocom I did inflate the bags a bit but now they do not seem to pump up have had it jacked up driven over speed bumps , turned the ignition on and off numerous times all to no avail.

the compressor does work via nanocom but seems unable to put any more air into the bags.

help what am I doing wrong. ?

Hi, do you mean that the compressor is running but the rear is not rising ? Anyway, did you double check if the setting in SLABS and BCU are both saved for air suspension ? Can you see the SLS related warning lamps ?

Yes the compressor will run when I do it via nanocom but not raising, also you can har I it for about 10 minutes or so (when switched off ) I guess trying to sort it self. I have checked the bcu seem ok to me. Hope you don’t mind I’ve included some screen shots..

You have to check the setting in SLABS too not only BCU but it seems that the compressor is not up to the job anyway also you have to calibrate it

Calibrate it, you need to set the standard and extended height IIRC

In the SLABS - Utility - SLS calibration menu you have to inflate each side step by step(as it inflates only few cm at once) untill the vehicle is on even level then store those heights but if the compressor is not powerfull enough for that you need a good one

Ahh ok. I have been trying that via the calibration on the nanocom nut it won’t go up any further than it is at the moment guess it’s time to look at a new compressor !
