anyone else having difficulty getting parts from island 4x4? i ordered parts 3-4 weeks ago and despite numerous emails, phone calls etc i am getting nowhere.maybe its just me.

Were the parts shown as being in stock or shown as needing to be ordered in?

I made an order on 1st may, and they took the money off my card same day, said may take a couple of days, but no sign and no reply to my emails, sure there are supply problems but a two line e-mail just to explain would help.

They are not good at relying to emails but I found them very helpful on the phone when they sent me 2 left hand brake calipers instead of one right and one left. They sent a replacement immediately and told me to keep the wrong one.:D

I left it for a while as it's no good getting excited with the present situation, and then just e mailed so they could reply at leisure, sounds like I need to phone them.

COVID-19 – Due to reduced staffing levels, orders are taking longer than normal to process. We are working hard to get your order to you as soon as possible but please allow 5-7 days. Thank you for your patience.

stands to reason they might not be instant if still on reduced staff

Ordered a bunch of bits on Sunday, arrived yesterday.....breather hoses, vanos manifold gaskets, PCV valve, Oil Seprator, drive belts x2, crankcase seal etc.....was pleased...never had an issue with them previously...returns are a tad lacklustre...but still!

Island has always good for me ,bought everything i need from them ,even a plastic fixing thing costing less than a pound to take me over the magic £50 free delivery,;),:D.....RR.
(whispers) - I've done that too....order something you don't *really* need for a few pence to tip it over the £50 mark to save the £5 delivery....

It does annoy me a tad that their listings don't include VAT, so I sit there with and Excel spreadsheet open that I can type the prices in and it tells me the total before I go to basket!

I can appreciate the current problems but after more than a month a quick e mail may be appropriate, they had enough staff to cash the card payment.

I have ordered loads from Island the last couple of months been pretty reliable bit slow when letting you know when it is being dispatched. I know they respond to emails quicker as they are inundated with enquiries on phone. Unlike them to delay 2-3 weeks unless they need to order part in. Let us know how you get on.
