Hi All
Can anyone help me with this one. I am trying to identify what my front axle is.
I want to buy a service seals kit from Paddocks but I dont know which kit to get as I cannot identify my Axle.
The serial number is very clear on the Axle. See pic.
18L03966 A
Any clues or ideas anyone.

Many thanks
James

Paddocks online store is closed atm due to a high volume of online orders being placed recently.

Try the online chat with them & give them the axle serial number & chassis number/year ect.

Hi
I did exactly that and they couldnt identify it. They suggested going to a forum to try and suss it out. So here i am.
Maybe I can identify it from the number of bolts or size or something. I will measure it all later and see if i can work it out.
But i am quietly confident someone here will know..... :)
Thanks

It's not on the list of Defender 90/110 serial numbers, so possibly a Discovery?
The steering damper is still fitted at the rear, so that corroborates the Discovery/Range Rover Classic theory.

Not sure what i did there.
I was trying to post several pics of the axle in case anyone has any other ideas
Im going with Disco 1 V8 as per Kevstar's post.
I will send the pocs again now/

it is indeed a early disco or rrc axle,up to ja ,v8 cases at the time had a slightly different diff angle to the diesel case, denote by not having a hole in bottom of pandhard axle brackets, though parts are the same with diesel and the v8
