Hi all I have 2004 l322 td6 with the air suspension inactive on plus some other lights on read some other posts about this (steering wheel lock to lock etc disconnect battery)but this doesn’t work there’s no light on the up /normal/ down switch so probably needs a code reader which I don’t have so is there anyone around Mirfield West Yorkshire on here that could possibly borrow one
For a day or so cheers ady

Hey, he's a newbie completely umknown to anyone and he is asking to borrow someones kit...

the offers shall flood in...Shirley?
hi yes I am a complete newbie on this forum so I will rephrase can anyone recommend a code reader (cheep ) that will do the job as there seems to be a lot out there thanks . Sorry for asking for any help cheers ady

The iCarsoft LR2 is probs the cheapest at around £136....but whilst it will read codes and clear them out, it won't change any settings, nor calibrate the suspension system.....but it will read fault codes.

Next up is the AllComms from RSW Solutions, at around £220-250....this will do the above, but also change some settings, and calibrate the suspension system.

If the lights are off on the height control dial, you have a hard fault and WILL need diagnostics to help fault find and fix the system.

Welcome. It is not the asking for help that is an issue, it is the fact that you rock up , totally unknown, and ask, a bunch of strangers , if you can borrow their kit , that costs hundreds of pounds. Simple rule: if you wouldn't do it in real life don't do it on the internet.
That said, once you get some diagnostics on it there is a wealth of knowledge here. So come back, tell us what the diagnostics say, and people will try to help.

No worries I get that . shouldn’t have asked for the possibility of someone local having one apologies

You asked to borrow a reader for a day or two, that is local to you, that's quite different Ady.

I'm sure you're a stand up guy and all that, nowt personal, hopefully some local can assist you.

I think the protocol is...'does anyone have a reader that can read my car, beer tokens gladly offered yadda yadda',

you are borrowing a PERSON with reader AND knowledge.;)

Good luck, investing in a dedicated code reader for the L322 is a must in helpng to repair the beast if your planning on keeping it. ;)

+1.

There must be someone in Yorkshire who has crowbarred their wallet open, fought the moths and bought their own reader. Sure they'd pop around for tea and cake.

Of course, I say a wallet but in my day it wa just an envelope but we called it a wallet ...

Thanks for all the help I will get it sorted out one way or another but was the age old thing for me
If you don’t ask you don’t get
Thanks again Ady

The Foxwell NT530 does a little more than read and clear codes, it will calibrate steering angle sensor and set suspension heights @backinblack might confirm this not had mine long enough yet to play with it.

Mine is the NT510, does the suspension, not tried steering angle sensor yet.
The nt530 is the updated version, I decided to order one after you mentioned it on another thread, took about 10 days to get here (slow boat from china) just had a quick look at it after the normal setting up malarky so not been through every thing yet.
