All this talk on diesel heaters on the forum has got me thinking about only just getting warm by the time I get to the shoot in the winter, it’s not my daily so not a necessity but would be nice

Toying with either a diesel heater or an auxiliary electric heater which I can switch on when I start Doris in the morning so wile the coolant is thinking about getting warm an extra electric heater can be filling the cab with warm air

Any one had experience with additional electric heaters? I appreciate there not going to be as good as a diesel but are they worth fitting

I had an idea to use an electric heater matrix out of a modern car and fitting it into the ventilation system some how, be super easy on a Defender with the heater box easily accessible in the engine bay.

Yea that’s an idea cheers once coolant is up to temp the heating is fine it’s just having something to aid it wile it’s warming up

I’ve ordered a cheap aux electric heater I’m not hoping for much but hey u never now if it doesn’t do the job I’m thinking your idea is worth a bash , also keeping a close eye on the members fitting the Chinese diesel heaters

Fitted the Brit part chubby centre box well happy with it so much more comfortable to drive

Update - door hinge has sheered on the nsr so ordered a new later style set , then paint and fit hopefully the bolts undo and don’t require hours of drilling
