Evening all,
I have a very honest G reg 1989 110CSW for sale 95k on the clock
M.O.T until Dec 2021
Starts, drives & stops just as a Defender should. Been used & proven reliable as a daily driver until very recently
Originally a 200tdi is was previously converted to a 300tdi Defender engine. It’s a very sweet, reliable, quiet and strong motor. It’s in standard trim, no boost pin, turbo tweaks or funky modifications. It has Just been serviced and doesn’t piddle puddles under the park space
It is a solid Landy with possibly the best example of original chassis & bulkhead I have seen on an original of this age. Surface rust and dirt are there to be poked & prodded and I’ll gladly pass you a sturdy hammer to see for yourself. Really a very solid base with no signs of welding that I can ascertain
Fitted with 9x seats & cubby box in Exmoor Trim high backs
5x LR Alloys, Swingaway rear wheel carrier, Full Width BullBar
The niggles
Drivers door is great!..not that old by the looks but passenger door has a crease & needs hinges. NS 2nd row needs repair to bottom & OS 2nd row needs repair or replace
C pillars need attention where the water has run though the doors and sat at the bottom but otherwise this Landy is rust free
Sunroof leaks (of course)
Difflock doesn’t engage but suspect linkage just seized through lack of use
Paintwork is what let’s the old gal down as the lacquer has let go. It’s a very honest Landy but no show pony
All sounds worse than it really is to be honest and so far as projects go it’s an easy one without lots of scary welding to tackle
It was under the same ownership for the last 10yrs and as it was a company vehicle was maintained at all costs to ferry staff about. Substantial amount of service history with the vehicle
Mechanically sound & cosmetically challenged…think of it as the ugly duckling just waiting to be turned into a beautiful swan. A great & fairly easy renovation project for someone looking to put their own mark on a 110CSW
It is just one project too many at present…I’m bordering on Re-spraying & fitting Panoramic glass myself but already have another project on the go…open to offers from serious buyers happy to do a video walk around or face to face
Located in mid Cornwall…Have a local firm that deliver nationwide at very reasonable rates
