The best purging procedure?

Hmmm......I did change them one by one at the tank end : see pics
It was, however, a lot of months later when the other ends were connected, but they did strike me as idiot-proof as they all fitted according to length.
Not clued up on the LP and HP aspects so the flow from the filter may or may not be as required.

According to your pic the pipes are not well connected cos they should be white - green - blue - black while your's is white - blue - green (unless i'm daltonist)... i'm sure that's your problem

Strange - car was running fine before I started....and the pic taken through the hole in the boot floor was they way they were before I started. I took the pic to make sure I connected the new one up the same way.
Can you tell me where the blue and the green ones connect at the other end...in case they were originally swapped?
Cheers

+1 on what SF as said, I wrote mine down when I did a fuel pump change, same as what he said. The story gets interesting.

Yes. That would be an easy test, off course run the purging sequence after that...if no joy follow the diagram and make sure that the pipes are OK at the filter too just to make sure that they are not mixed up all around

I'm having very similar issues with my disco 2 10p td5. I changed the fuel filter yesterday evening and purged the air out of it about 8 times and then took it for a quick drive which everything seemed fine but the car would not start this morning.

I'm thinking there must be air still in the system but it won't initiate the purge cycle, i have tried quite a few times now and nothing
