Well... no... I used the 'breaker bar on the chassis and turn the engine over' method. But I tightened it up with a fan spanner/scaff bar/breaker/ 2 of us pulling like the hulk on each side, in the absence of a torque wrench. When we did get hold of one later, it was at about 440NM...
Oh dear...
Googles and Fleabay just made these fall through my door
It was an accident - I didn't mean to buy them, but they were cheap and I came over all funny like.
Snap on sockets £40
I've got all sorts. At work I use a kamasa 3/4 socket set 22mm - 50mm. It's not unusual to have a three foot bar on the end when working on tractor or implement stuff. I have snap on sockets, ratchets and spanners - all second hand. Sykes pickavant sockets and spanners and lots of old britool, king dick and gedore?
Snap on tools.. the stuff you use most braker bars.. ratchets, guns and decent socket set and spanners.. (lose one out of the set it will bug the life out of you..) and its about £100 to replace it.. and never show your misus the weekly recipts!! But got some cheep spanners and tools that you can just abuse..!!
